Data Integration
“Don’t change a thing.” That’s how we start our conversation. To implement ClickPayRent you don’t need to change your bank account, your existing software, your people or your process. ClickPayRent enables real estate enterprises to simplify and automate the rent collection process without having to change the way you do business.
Out of the Box Integration
While all this may sound complex to some, it is second nature to us. We typically get new customers integrated and up and running in a week or two and run test transactions through the system to ensure success before we launch. Additionally, the ClickPayRent technical team is available to handle both simple and custom integration efforts for our customers. We freely provide third party vendors with the documentation, support, and resources they need to optimize the integration between their respective applications and ClickPayRent.
BlackTie Communication Protocol – API for Data Exchange
The ClickPayRent software and data architecture has been built from the ground up to integrate with popular accounting and property management software providers. Basically, we work the same way they do. We link the data together with property codes and tenant IDs. Our open architecture makes this possible and easy to exchange data between the systems. ClickPayRent complies with MITS, an industry-wide effort by the apartment sector to develop common data standards and extensible mark-up language (XML) protocol to facilitate data and systems integration. The MITS standards are freely available as an industry resource. MITS is funded and sponsored by a broad group of industry firms and is supported by the National Multi Housing Council.

Who do we integrate with?
ClickPay integrates with any software program that has the ability to connect via an API (Application Programming Interface) or through an import and export functionality. To date, we have integrated with many platforms including Yardi, MDS, Jenark, Timberline, and IBS. We are able to build API connectivity within a week or two, and do not generally charge any fees to do so.
Getting Started With Integration
Let’s face it, when dealing with software and databases it can get technical. It’s best to have someone on your internal technology team or the account manager from your software provider get on the phone with our tech support team. We don’t charge any fees for this service. We exchange some documentation with them and vice versa. After that we get some sample files and data and run some test integrations to ensure everything is working smoothly.
What Gets Integrated?
Typically, what gets integrated includes:
- Rent roll (tenant names, unit numbers, property codes, and tenant ID)
- Stop File (restrict payment access for tenants in legal or eviction status)
- Transaction Activity (receipt file)
